News-Sun garners 10 NINA awards

Lake County News-Sun staffers won 10 awards in the annual Northern Illinois Newspaper Association editorial contest.
Editor-in-Chief Chris Cashman led the award winners with first, second and third place awards. Photographer Ryan Pagelow won two first-place awards.
In sports, Dave Masterson won a third place for his feature story on boxing. First place went to the Arlington Heights Daily Herald; second place to The Beacon-News of Aurora.The News-Sun competed in the daily category in the annual contest for newspapers in the northern part of Illinois. Awards were announced at the annual NINA journalism conference at Northern Illinois University, DeKalb.
